Coupon Code - Duck Tape Party & More

My sweet daughter received the coolest gift from her daddy for her recent birthday. It's called Duck Tape Party and it is made by a company named ALEX Toys.  She has really enjoyed making some really neat items. Her favorite so far is her pretty purse. I also enjoyed spending some one on one time with her while we crafted away. Sweet Memories.

If I Discovered A New Planet - Writing Activity

My daughter loved creating and thinking of wonderful things about her new planet. She imagined it to be a planet full of zebras and overflowing amounts of ice cream. Sounds like a pretty neat planet to me. People who go to visit will be able to ride zebras and eat ice cream all day long. Whew! I can assume they might need a break from all that fun. I wonder what she will come up with for her planet next.

I found this wonderful writing printable here.

Make Continent Boxes for Continent Studies

I found a picture today that I don't think I have shared with you before. Last year my girls and I took boxes and spray painted them black. We then printed out a picture of each continent and labeled the boxes on front and on the side. When they were finished we added continent related learning materials to each. They have came in handy for a bunch of our studies and one of our favorite units to do each year are continent studies.

We store the boxes on a top shelf in our school room, until we are ready to use them.
I really like that they aren't to bulky and are easy to store.

The Best Part of Me - Writing Activity

 Activity:
Have your child pick a favorite part of themselves. Take a photo, or have the child draw the part. After they have finished, have your child write why he likes that particular part. Fun and simple writing activity. We sure enjoyed it and I loved hearing why my girls chose what they did.

I created the page to print. Visit the link below to download and print it.

Take Your Own Fall Pictures

For some fall pictures just may not be in the budget and that's okay. I have always enjoyed taking our own fall pictures through the years. It can be fun and simple to take your own. Here are a couple tips.

1) Pick out outfits that compliment each other.

2) Rake up piles of leaves for a fall background scenery.

3) If you want to pose them, pick poses that are comfortable.

4) Let your children play, and capture the moments.

5) Snap lots of pictures, so you have more choices when editing.

6) Edit to add those final touches.

7) Most of all have fun and enjoy each other.

Here is a very easy to use photo editor that I just adore.

Tuesday - ABC Photo Hunt

I found the coolest idea on Pinterest
It is an ABC photo hunt for kids.
Here is the link:

I loved the idea so much that I decided to do this with my daughters. They had a blast looking for each item. I made them a little checklist and they would check it off after they finished with the letter.

 Here are the results.
