                         Day 4           Day 9

                         Day 5           Day 10

Today we traveled to grandma's house and went on a nature walk. The girls explored and explored. They collected some pretty neat items and my mil had a wonderful idea to make nature wreaths. So they did and they turned out so cute.

What nature crafts do you enjoy making?

I found a really neat idea on Pinterest the other day. When you go on a nature walk place duck tape sticky side up around your arm, like a bracelet  All you have to do is stick the nature goodies to the tape. Thought it was a cute idea.

Wild Animals/Nature Unit - Wk 7 - Day 2 Animal Research

Today each of my girls picked an animal to research and make a folder about. My oldest picked deer, my middle girl picked wild pigs, and my youngest picked wild turkey. Each picked great animals.

They used resources found around the net to read, print and color. I have allowed my oldest to create a Pinterest board on Wild Animals. She has found some wonderful pins. Pinterest is helping her reading, writing, typing, and research skills. It's a great resource for my visual learners.

Wild Animals/Nature Unit - Wk 7 - Day 1

Today we started a new unit with my mil.  A wild animals/nature unit.
The girls had fun looking through their grandma's animal books. We watched a video on Youtube explaining how animals make tracks. We also went out and explored animal tracks. My mil printed off a bunch of really neat activity worksheets, and the girls seemed to have a blast with them.

Here are a few photos from our day.
