Lets make Play Doh!

Never again will I buy play doh. I found all the ingredients around the house, and it was so easy to make. We made a ton of it. Here is a recipe to make the play doh with kool-aid to make it colored and scented

Play Doh Recipe with Kool-Aid: 2 cups of flour 1 cup salt 2 packages dry unsweetened Kool-Aid 2 cups boiling water 2 tablespoons of Vegetable oil

Mix all the dry ingredients together and all the liquid ingredients together. Then pour the liquids over the the dry. Stir the mixture until it forms a ball. As it cools it will become less sticky. After it has cooled knead it until it is smooth.

There are also recipes out there to make it with peanut butter so that it is edible. The above recipe is completely safe, but wouldn't advise eating it, for I don't think it would taste very good. :)

A storm blew in...

Its been a crazy few days. Storms blew in and left our town with no electric and a huge mess to clean up. Grain Elevators demolished, tress uprooted, and even cars and houses smashed. Thats another reason I haven't blogged, no connection. Well the electric is back now, and I'm praying it will stay. You see we have more storms moving in and hopefully they will not be severe.

Oh a better note, the rains left huge puddles of water everywhere, and we had a mini pond in our backyard. So I threw bathing suits on the girls and let them jump on in.



During clean up of the limbs that had fell we found a cute little caterpillar. So we made a home for it. Hopefully we can see it make a cocoon and turn into a beautiful butterfly.
