Home Management Binder!

I'm super excited about today's challenge over at  abowlfulloflemons.  Home Management Binder!
I so needed this. I headed out to our local store and picked up a new binder, divider tabs, and a couple cute folders. I was bummed, they only had white binders :(  But I noticed that it had a front insert, where I could place a cover page. Instead of a cover page, I opted for a cute folder I bought! Ecckkk! It's so cute!

I searched Google for some awesome free printable pages. Took me a couple hours to get everything together and I feel more organized than ever! LOVE the menu planning tab! I know this is going to help our family out so much!

Follow me with GFC (on the right) to check up on our new projects and adventures! :)

Fantastic Friday!

I woke up ready to accomplish the day. Little did I know how wonderful it would turn out to be. To begin with, I started this morning with a much needed tidying up of the girls rooms. Then we went to our accountant and had our taxes filed. Woohoo! Glad that is taking care of. Came back home and prepared lunch for the family. While we were cleaning up after lunch, there was a knock at the door. My husband answered, and to my surprise my mother had sent me flowers! AWESOME!!!!!!!  They are so beautiful! I luurrrvvveeee em!  Awhile later my mil came and picked up my oldest daughter for a day out. (I just spoke with them, and she is having a blast!). The other girls helped me make strawberry muffins and we played in the snow. I love days like this. Ya know, days where everything seems to fall perfectly together. :) Fantastic Friday!

Organizing Keepsakes

Love keepsakes! For Christmas my mil bought each of my girls a box filled with shower gel, lotions, and lip gloss. The girls were eager to open the items and discarded the boxes as trash. I proceeded to pick up the trash, while everyone was admiring their new found goodies. When I came a across those boxes, I knew I had to re-purpose them into keepsake boxes. They were just to darn cute. So I got my paint out, and starting painting their names, and adding a few extra touches. I love them so much and it's nice to be able to have a special place for their ribbons, certificates, & pictures.

Organizing our Homeschool Room

UPDATE: November 2013 (At Bottom)

2011 -
Well it's been a task, but it's almost there. I tackled the schoolroom. This is a room, that seems to always be "in need" of some organization. I struggle with trying to keep this room tidyI still have things in the room that I would like to tackle, but I'm going to tackle them little by little.  :) Homeschooling is super fun, but trying to store everything has proven to be difficult. I find items strung about the house most everyday, and having a home for it all will most definitely help. I have organized a writing/math area for the girls. Most days we just gather around the kitchen table. Having children in different grades has at times been difficult to focus on tasks. I'm hoping with these new "special" areas that more work can be accomplished.

                        Many Blessings,
                              Jennifer

Update: November 2013 - Wow, it has been a while since I've seen our schoolroom look like the pictures above. Well since 2011. I was looking through old posts and came across this one. It is amazing the change this room has made in 2 years. I decided it was time to add an updated picture. As always this room is forever changing to accommodate our needs.

More Organization & Cleaning

Well January has proved to be a very productive month thus far. Still following along with the organization challenges daily. Super proud of the work that has been accomplished. Today I managed to organize the mail center and filing cabinet. Last night I cleaned out the fridge and cleaned the stove top.

It snowed here late last night. Roads have ice below snow, so traveling is not in my future for today. So since I'm home all day and the children are busy working away on their school work, I shall organize and clean some more. Just when I think I have organized the whole house, I find more.

I have really been wanting to organize the mail center for while. I usually open the cabinet, take a quick look, and close the door real fast, lol ;) As with everything, I hope since I put much work in, that it stays this way.

The lovely stove & fridge. I really wish I would have took before pictures.  Huge difference!

Many Blessing to all!

Making a Difference One step at a Time

I recently had my older brother, Josh, as a guest in our home. It was very nice to be able to share time and good conversation with him. He showed me a Youtube video of a woman by the name of Christine Caine. Her video has touched my heart in so many ways. I wanna shine light into the darkness. I wanna step out of my comfort zone and make a difference. I wanna share this video with you. I hope it touches your heart the way it has mine.

What have I done to make a difference on this day, week, or month?

I'm not only organizing my home lately, but my life. It is a new year, a time for new things, a time for refreshing the old. I pray for a renewal of my heart, and a cleansing of my thoughts.

Is it trash or treasure? While we are organizing, and cleaning our homes of unwanted items, remember the ones that may be in need. Before you take that pair of jeans you no longer need to the trash, think about someone that might really need that pair of jeans. Bag it up and take to a shelter, outreach, any donation center.  :)

I found a great study and I would love to share this wonderful resource with you. (Click Below)

Matt 6:33 says: "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things (food, clothes, etc) will be added unto you."

Many Blessings,
Jennifer

A little out of order.

So, in my previous posts, I told you about the organization challenges. Well I'm a wee-bit behind, but I'm gonna catch up. Today I managed to organize the spice cabinet as well as the medicine cabinet.  I'm headed to the bathroom cabinets next.

The captions in the pictures say it all! What a mess it WAS.
"Was" is such a neat word. :)

I started by removing all contents, cleaning the cabinets, and finding a couple small bins. I lost count of all the empty spice bottles I threw out! Empty spice bottles? Why they were in there is beside me. ;)  I then started adding things back little by little. I'm super happy at the end result. I think abowlfulloflemons has turned me into a organizing monster, but I'm okay with that.

Oh and finally the end result!

Organizing the Medicine Cabinet

Check out the above blog for new challenges.

I really needed to organize the medicine cabinet, so I did! JOY! JOY! So very happy now!

Well Here is the dreadful before picture. Can you say unorganized mess? I can, lol :)

Now for the cleaned out and awesome after pictures!

Took  everything out and placed it on the table. I then went through it and threw out expired meds, and things I had no idea way I was keeping. Moved the small appliances to another cabinet. I found small bins and labeled them and starting placing things back in their new organized homes.  :) Who knew organizing could feel so great! My husband was especially excited. He can now find what he needs with out everything falling out on him.

Keeping Busy, as Simple as We Can!

Blessings of a Simple Life!

Seems, the new year brings with it, not only, a lot of  great goals and aspirations, but also a never ending list of things I feel we must get done. For instance, I felt that I must go around and declutter and organize room after room. What a mess it has been, but a huge relief when all was done. I feel like I'm nesting, preparing for something unbeknown to me.

Today we managed to get a couple studies completed. One being a Martin Luther King, Jr study.  I found some awesome teaching materials to help with the study a couple months back. They sure came in handy today. I didn't have to search for hours on end, looking for the perfect materials. It's nice to know they were found quickly and organized into a specific spot. It helps!

We are in the process of trying to simplify our life. With much clutter cleared away, I feel like we are in the right path. I have project after project on a list, with most yet to be checked off. Maybe by the time 2011 is over, I can look at the list with relief.  :)

Sometimes it doesn't seem so simple to try to simplify things. I know that the payback will come in the end.

Blessings to All!

Jennifer!

My Vision Board

I looked around Google, at ideas for vision boards. I found lots of really cute ones. I really didn't have the supplies I wanted, but I did have things I needed to at least get one together. I went ahead and got one accomplished. I want to do another one, but I will need to head out to a craft store before I begin.   Here is my recent one.

New Year- 2011

 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!
 It's officially a new decade!

I wanted to start a 2011 Vision board, but haven't yet started. I plan on putting this into action and getting it started soon.

I have so much I would like to accomplish this year. Hopefully with a vision board to reflect on, we will be able to make much progress.

Create a Vision Board for your 2011 Goals

Well on New Years Eve, we had some very happy little girls. Finally after waiting and waiting our butterfly Moth, came out of its cocoon. Yeah! They were so trilled.
